If you have a Macintosh with an AirPort (Wi-Fi) card, and use the wired network card to get internet, you can use Internet Sharing to broadcast Wi-Fi from your Mac. It's kind of complicated, especially if you're not used to this kind of stuff, but if you can type some things into the terminal and type the results into the DS, it should work out pretty nicely. This is what I plan to do with my PowerBook, once I get my DS and AC:WW (Christmas, hopefully sooner!). This is especially good with laptops; anywhere you can get wired internet access, instant Wi-Fi!
how much bandwidth will ACWW use if i was playing with someone for about 15 minutes

ok say i turn on my ds and i wanna visit my friend do i HAVE to buy the wifi stuff to talk to my friend or can i just turn it on and leave the gates of my town and talk to him?
If you're not using the DS wireless connection (with people in the same room or very close to you) then you need either the USB connector or a wireless router and a broadband internet connection.

Also say i just get the game and the DS and i hook it up to an internet cafe or something then wi-fi would be free and i wouldn't have to buy all the stuff, right?
Falconhart ... the internet cafe you go to will have to use the proper firewall and security settings that Nintendo will allow. I tried to use my DS in a Barnes & Noble today: the DS recognized that wi-fi existed in the building, but the DS kept locking up while testing the connection. So, it's pretty much McDonalds or trial and error with your local library.

I don't know if it has already been asked, but I have a question.
I have a limited buget, (I babysit my sister on day's off) but I need a Wi-Fi adapter. I don't know which one I should buy. What would be the best one for a good price?
toastfreak ... an adapter or a router? For adapter, there is only the Nintendo USB adapter, but there are many routers that will work. I have Linksys 2.4Ghz router; got it for around $50 at WalMart. If anybody else knows better price, by all means, help TOAST out!

its siple...the reason your ds locks up is because its tryining to connenct to a hot spot where you have to pay though a window that pops up in winxp or mac os x and the ds isnt a computer therefour the ds gets confused and locks up

Do I have to have internet Explorer for USB adaptor to work? Since I check with Nintendo's site and it said mine isnt compatible, I have Mozilla Firefox, does that mean I would need to rid of Firefox/get Internet Explorer again?
Also Is there a way to turn Firefox off without removing it from my comp?
