Pokémon Gold was my first video game ever. When I started my file on the game, I named the trainer Taylor, because I had read somewhere that was supposedly his name. (Like how supposedly the first generation trainer went by Ash.)
So some years later, I went to register on a my first forum. It was Pokémon-based, so I used the name of my first Pokémon trainer. However, I worried that Taylor would sound too lame or that it might be taken if used elsewhere, so I added the GS to mean Gold and Silver.
Ever since, I've always registered as TaylorGS.

Back in the day when I played neopets all the time (I still do, just not as much), an online friend of mine decided to create an account that the two of us could share. The name of it was "aldericon". Eventually, she abandoned the site, leaving the account to me, which I still use to this day.
When I went to join ACC, I wanted to think of an original username, so I used aldericon (pronounced elder-ri-con).
Interesting Fact: If you google aldericon, all my accounts show up, everyone one of them mine! xD

When I first joined, I figured the majority of the users would be young children. So when I chose a username, I wanted to have one that would alert them to the fact that I'm an adult. I'm also a fan of the crazy cat lady from the Simpsons, so...CrazyOldLady.When I thought about it, it made me laugh. I figured when people saw it on the boards they'd do a double take.
Mine is very dull. I didn't put much thought into my username because I didn't expect to stay on ACC longer than a couple of weeks. How wrong I was.
Anyway, Dusty is my pet dog's name. Well, part of his name. His full name is 'Dusty Deathbreath Howler-Growler'. I was 12 when I though of my username, hence 'Dusty12'. I wish it was more imaginative, but there's not much I can do about it now.
pinkerdroit is a mix of two Weezer albums titled Pinkerton and Maladroit.
(For slight backstory on those names, Pinkerton is a reference to the opera "Madame Butterfly", and Maladroit means "awkward" in French.)
I started using it back in 8th grade when Weezer was my band of choice. Pinkerton has always been my favorite album of theirs, and Maladroit came out the year I created the name.
I was actually trying to make a name up for my Neopet, back in 2007, when I discovered a website which suggested a list of names that had not been used.
Cyartia was one of those that caught my eye, and after that, all my accounts have had that username. Recently though, when I tried to create a new Neopets account, the username Cyartia was taken. I don't think any of the pets on that account were created by me, so I created a new account called "therealCyartia".
The strange thing is though, I don't actually like people calling me by my user-name. So if you see me around, please call me Alex!
Fun fact: If you google "cyartia" all the accounts that are on the first page are mine

My family got high-speed internet in mid-2005. I discovered forums shortly afterwards. The first forum I ever joined was the Nintendo N-Sider forums. My username was Nintendude and my screen name was E-Dudnetnin. I derived Nintendude from the fact that I have always been a huge Nintendo fan, and that I'm a guy. Nintendo and dude put together formed Nintendude and it flowed very nicely I thought. E-Dudnetnin was just Nintendude backwards with a dash. I used Nintendude or the E-Dudnetnin variation for my usernames on forums afterwards.
Jumping ahead to June of 2006, I discovered ACC. I wanted my name to be Nintendude, but it was already taken. Instead of resorting to my backup, E-Dudnetnin, I wanted to try something different, so I tacked on the number '64'. Why '64' you asked? Well, I got it from the Nintendo 64, which happened to be my first home video game console, and still my favorite to this day.
