Okay, I've been standing in the same spot in the grass for over an hour with headphones on and heard nothing but the sound of my character slapping away mosquitoes and the occasional firecracker going off outside...Should I be standing somewhere specific. I staked out a place with lots of grass and trees...anyone know?

Awesome guide, I had already caught a Tarantula and Coelacanth but I was stung by my first Scorpion yesterday. I used the sneaking behind the Tarantula trick and caught 2 a couple days ago, but the Scorpion seemed more agile.
After reading your guide in desperation I was able to catch a Scorpion. Thanks .

I've caught a Coelacanth and a Scorpion but that stupid Tarantula gets me every time! I can wander around my town for half an hour without seeing one and as soon as I let my guard down, WHAM!
Are they more common later in the summer? I'm at my wit's end!

Excellent guide! I read it a couple of days ago, and *viola!* I caught my very very very first coelacanth today at 6:36 pm!! lol I was soooooo exited! I was playing, and my mom was sitting right next to me, and I started going crazy! She was exited for me though.

i got bit by a tarantula and both my friends who had it for atleast a year didnt know wot it wos and then finally after a week i caught one and now wen im in the museum in its room it stares at me waiting for my sight to move so it can STRIKE!
