Hi guys, I've noticed a lot of people have been complaining about a "dead" pixel on thier DS screens. I checked out Nintendo's Troubleshooting Page about this issue. You might want to refer there, or have your parents do so if they were the purchaser.

Please also check out Nintendo's Troubleshooting Page if you are having other problems. This page is very well written, and will keep you within your warranty!!!

EDIT: We're adding the very useful research of Poncho95:

Plenty of people have some issues with their Nintendo DS Touch Screen. Some of which can completely ruin a game that relies on the touch screen most of all.
I want you to be able to enjoy your DS the the full, without any issues, however problems happen, which sometimes are unfixable without buying a new DS. I don't want you to waste money on a new DS, so this short guide is to help reduce the chances of you having to buy a new console. You may not realise that your DS is actually pretty simple to fix, maybe the screen just needs a wipe, maybe you've forgotten to calibrate it. Whatever the reason, I'm sure you'll find it somewhere in this guide, and the links provided.
Thank you, I hope everything works fine in the end.

Unfortunately there are not alot of links for NUK. However if you browse the website, I'm sure you'll find something. In the meantime:

"• Make sure you are using the Nintendo DS Lite Stylus on the correct area of the touch screen.
• Check the alignment of the Nintendo DS Lite Stylus contact point using the touch screen adjustment (see below)¹.
• Review the Instructions booklet of the game you are playing for the correct operation of the Nintendo DS Lite Stylus.
• If your touch screen is; scratched, dirty or contaminated with foreign material, follow the screen cleaning process (see below)²"

See Below: - ¹&²

¹ - Calibrate your DS.
Select this option to realign the Nintendo DS Lite Stylus with the Touch Screen.
Follow the on-screen instructions and carefully touch the indicated marks on
the Touch Screen.

² - With an Eye glass cleaning cloth (a cloth)
1) Slightly dampen the cloth with water only and wipe the screen to loosen any dirt or foreign material.
2) Using a dry cloth, wipe the screens to dry them and finish the cleaning process. If needed, repeat
the process.
